Nature house in Clavier

In photos and upon arrival, the farmhouse looks charming and authentic. Unfortunately, our stay did not live up to our expectations. Upon arrival, we found soiled molton sheets; one comforter had dried bloodstains on it, and another smelled strongly of sweat. In addition, used laundry—including worn socks—was mixed in with the clean bedding, and there was a lot of dust. Although the authentic decor fits the farmhouse’s atmosphere, we found some of the furniture to be worn out and not very comfortable. Afterward, the landlord indicated that we should have contacted them during our stay. We understand that point of view, but for us, the hygiene issues were such that our confidence in having a pleasant stay vanished immediately. That is why we ended our eleven-day stay after just two days. The resolution of the matter was difficult.

De hoeve oogt op foto's en bij aankomst sfeervol en authentiek. Helaas voldeed ons verblijf niet aan de verwachtingen. Bij aankomst troffen wij vervuilde moltons aan, op een dekbed zaten opgedroogde bloedsporen en een ander dekbed rook sterk naar zweet. Daarnaast lag gebruikt wasgoed, waaronder gebruikte sokken, tussen het schone beddengoed en was er veel stof aanwezig. Hoewel de authentieke inrichting past bij de sfeer van de hoeve, ervoeren wij een deel van het meubilair als versleten en weinig comfortabel. Achteraf gaf de verhuurder aan dat wij tijdens ons verblijf contact hadden moeten opnemen. Wij begrijpen die gedachte, maar voor ons waren de hygiëneproblemen van dien aard dat het vertrouwen in een prettig verblijf direct was verdwenen. Daarom hebben wij een verblijf van elf dagen al binnen twee dagen beëindigd. De afhandeling verliep moeizaam.

The surroundings of this nature house are truly beautiful. If you’re looking for peace, space, and nature, this is the place for you. From the farmhouse, you can hear birds all day long and enjoy a wonderful sense of tranquility. The surroundings are perfect for walks and for truly unwinding. The farmhouse’s authentic charm also blends well with the landscape and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere at first glance. That’s precisely why we found it especially disappointing that our experience with the accommodation itself ultimately fell short of expectations. As far as we’re concerned, the location and the natural surroundings definitely deserve praise and were, without a doubt, the highlight of our stay.

De omgeving van dit natuurhuisje is werkelijk prachtig. Wie op zoek is naar rust, ruimte en natuur zit hier op de juiste plek. Vanuit de hoeve hoor je de hele dag vogels en ervaar je een heerlijke stilte. De omgeving leent zich uitstekend voor wandelingen en om even helemaal tot rust te komen. Ook de authentieke uitstraling van de hoeve past goed in het landschap en geeft op het eerste gezicht een sfeervolle indruk. Juist daarom vonden wij het extra jammer dat onze ervaring met de accommodatie zelf uiteindelijk zo tegenviel. De locatie en de natuur verdienen wat ons betreft absoluut een compliment en vormden zonder twijfel het hoogtepunt van ons verblijf.

Unfortunately, the beds weren’t clean—there was a lot of sand and hair left behind by the previous guests. So we had to wash and change the sheets ourselves. We also had to put the towels in the dryer ourselves. We reported this to the landlord and asked for compensation for the cleaning costs. Unfortunately, this request was not addressed.
We also found a dead mouse in a trap, which caused a strange odor.

The house itself was otherwise cozy and nice. All the essentials were there; if you enjoy cooking, there are plenty of pots and pans to work with. The beds were comfortable, and the garden was lovely, especially with a dog.

Helaas waren de bedden niet schoon, veel zand en haren van de vorige gasten. We konden we dit dus zelf wassen en verschonen. Ook konden we zelf nog de handdoeken in de droger doen. We hebben dit gemeld bij de verhuurder en gevraagd om compensatie voor de schoonmaakkosten. Hier is helaas verder niet op ingegaan.
Ook vonden we een dode muis in een klem die ervoor zorgde dat er een gekke geur hing.

Het huis opzich was verder wel gezellig en mooi. Alle benodigdheden waren aanwezig, als je van lekker koken houdt zijn er genoeg pannen waar je je mee kan uitleven. De bedden waren comfortabel en een fijne tuin vooral met een hond.

The area around the cottage was beautiful, very green, and full of hiking trails.

De omgeving van het huisje was prachtig, heel groen en veel wandelroutes.

Everything was perfectly fine, inside completely in style. The bathroom was fantastic. Please note that the doors to the bedrooms are small, which for us only increased the fairytale atmosphere, but this may be a little inconvenient for some. The ensuite bathroom to one of the bedrooms, also completely done in style, is very nice if there are more people.

Alles was perfect in orde, binnen helemaal in stijl uitgevoerd. De badkamer was fantastisch. Let wel, de deuren van de slaapkamers zijn klein, wat voor ons de sprookjesachtige sfeer alleen maar verhoogde, maar dit kan voor sommigen misschien wat lastig zijn. De ensuite badkamer bij een van de slaapkamers, ook helemaal in stijl uitgevoerd, is erg fijn als je met meer personen bent.

Fantastic, fairytale location in a lovely area, close to hiking areas and nice places. The house is located on a very quiet road, where hardly any traffic passes and has a nice garden where the dogs can play wonderfully and safely.

Fantastische, sprookjesachtige locatie in een heerlijke omgeving, dichtbij wandelgebieden en leuke plaatjes. Het huis ligt aan een zeer rustige weg, waar nauwelijks verkeer voorbij komt en heeft een fijne tuin waar de honden heerlijk en veilig in kunnen spelen.
