This Nature House is a lovely, detached family home located directly on open water. It has a spacious garden at the front and back. You can walk straight from the garden into the lake for swimming, surfing, canoeing or sailing a small boat. It is our own house where we ourselves love to come and this feeling of happiness we would like to share with other lovers of water, nature and the Frisian culture.The house is attractively decorated and has a view of the lake across the entire back with spectacular views to the tower of Workum. It has a spacious living room with a large dining table, a comfortable sitting area with fireplace and an open kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and has an abundance of dishes, cutlery and appliances. Upstairs in the loft is a large table in front of the window with an expansive view. An inspiring place to write or read.
Nature and surroundings
It starts with the view from the house on the Oudegaasterbrekken. No matter what the season or weather: every day the interplay of water and sky is spectacular! The cottage is located in the village of Oudega, in a very small-scale vacation park in the southwest corner of Friesland (municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân). Peace, space and love for the Frisian land and water are paramount. People come here for rest and relaxation. It is in the middle of the water-rich Zuidwesthoek with nature reserves of 'It Fryske Gea', walking and cycling routes. The park is adjacent to water sports company De Werff that rents out electric boats, motor boats, falcons, canoes and subs. And it has a shared tennis court that you can make full use of. In short: this is the ideal place for a wonderful water/cycling/walking vacation in Friesland.
