Looking for a weekend or a week getaway for two in a truly idyllic, lush setting? Our cottage is a cozy retreat nestled in the heart of a 15-hectare private wooded estate near Couvin, on the edge of the forest and within the Viroin-Hermeton Nature Park, a Natura 2000 site renowned for its remarkable biodiversity. Here, nature reigns supreme, and silence reigns with it. From the loft bedroom, you’ll drift off to sleep to the murmur of the stream flowing just below the window—the very same stream where a beaver has made its home. In the morning, the large floor-to-ceiling windows open onto the park and the forest, while birds gather at the feeder set up in front of the cabin—a sight you never tire of. The warm and cozy interior features a sitting area with a Norwegian wood-burning stove, a dining area, and a kitchen. The bathroom is separate. Outside, a terrace invites you to linger into the evening with a view of the trees, and the grounds open up right at your doorstep.
Nature and surroundings
The little house is nestled on a private wooded estate, surrounded by forests, meadows, and trails. Right from the doorstep, countless walks await you. The estate is home to a discreet and iconic resident: the beaver. Along the stream, its traces are easy to spot: tree trunks whittled down to pencil-like shapes, gouges in the bank, and piles of branches. With a little patience and silence, at dusk or dawn, it’s not uncommon to catch a glimpse of it. A rare privilege—and a sign of a healthy waterway. Fall here is particularly magical: the bellowing of the stags echoes through the surrounding forests, an unforgettable experience for nature lovers. On the estate, several ponds invite you to contemplate the scenery, and one of them is sure to delight anglers. Just a few minutes away, take a stroll around a drinking-water lake—the only one of its kind in Belgium—or let yourself be guided by the marked trails, whether on foot or by bike.

• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refunded
• on the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €150.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.
