In the beautiful nature of the Achterhoek between Zutphen and Almen, at the end of a small road at the edge of the woods, we opened our guesthouse in December 2024. A wonderful place to slow down, ground and enjoy, walk and cycle, listen to the birds and watch the setting sun and the rising moon. The spacious cottage with its own entrance has all the comforts such as a blissful and luxurious double bed, a kitchen with induction hob, fridge and cooking utensils, a bathroom with shower and toilet, a spacious dining table to eat or work at and a lovely bench to relax. Two large south-facing windows give wonderful views of the food forest and forest edge, and the private terrace with adjacent garden offers the opportunity to watch the night fall at any season.
Nature and surroundings
The guesthouse is located in the outskirts of Eefde. Hanseatic city Zutphen is 5 km away - 20min by bike. From the cottage you can walk and cycle into the woods and heathland towards picturesque Almen and Gorssel with Museum MORE. Deventer, Zwolle and Arnhem are also easy to drive or visit by train from Zutphen. Should you wish to rent (electric) bicycles, you can do so in Eefde - within walking distance of the guesthouse. It is a very nice cottage! Beautiful location, nice accommodation, tastefully decorated, has everything you need. We were very happy with our own little garden where we could drink our coffees.
