Looking for a vacation in peace and intimacy, without a sense of time or place? In our idyllic cottage for two, every day is Sunday...! From November to March you can stay with us for a minimum of 5 nights, from April to October you can already book from two nights. The cottage is located next to our house, is completely detached and has its own guest garden across the narrow country road. In the autumn and winter season the cozy warmth of the pellet stove embraces you like a cozy blanket and in summer the typical thick walls keep the house cool. Upon arrival the king-size bed (2x90x200) is cozily made and for the cocooners we have provided a beamer (video projector) and projection wall. For the first day(s), coffee, tea and sugar are waiting for you and in the kitchen you will find pezo, oil & vinegar, bay leaf, stock cubes and kitchen roll.Welcome!
Nature and surroundings
A vacation on the western side of the Morvan, in the region around Vézelay, Clamecy and the Canal du Nivernais offers a unique combination of nature, history and tranquility. You can find us in Authiou, a sympathetic hamlet of 5 houses in the Nièvre, a slightly less known and populated region in the South-East of Burgundy, Central France. This picturesque area, with medieval charm and surrounded by the unspoiled landscape of the Morvan, is an ideal destination for those who want to unwind and are looking for simplicity in abundance! The region is very inviting for nature lovers, bird watchers, hikers and silence seekers.Enjoy the authentic countryside with rolling vistas, wooded hillsides and quiet villages with hidden castles.Often our guests prefer to combine their stay with a visit to Dijon, Paris or Lyon.We wish you a carefree and unforgettable stay!
