Because of the surrounding fields and farmland, there are quite a few flies on the ground floor. Fortunately, the bedrooms upstairs all have fly screens, and the two floors can be securely closed off with a door. So, shooing away the occasional fly downstairs is part of the experience, but it doesn’t detract from the beauty of the interior or the tranquility of the location.
This cottage is absolutely peaceful, with only the lovely sound of owls at night

Just a quick note: the stairs leading upstairs are very steep and narrow. This can be quite difficult for people who have trouble walking. On the other hand, there’s a second bathroom upstairs, so you don’t have to go downstairs at night.
The cottage was right in the middle of the "farmland," so there was little to no motorized traffic right outside the door.
We chose this cottage specifically because we’d always rented cottages in wooded areas before. It turned out to be much better than we expected—partly, we think, because of the fantastic weather.huisje stond midden in het 'boerenland', dus weinig tot eigenlijk geen gemotoriseerd verkeer voor de deur.
hebben juist dit huisje uitgekozen omdat wij altijd huisjes in bosrijke omgevingen huurden. viel ons zeer mee, mede denken wij vanwege fantastisch weerThis text is automatically translated. -
