Because of its location at the entrance to both castle and square farm, the Poorthuis is unique within the whole of the estate. The accommodation is suitable for up to 10 adults, with 2, 3 families with children up to 12 people. Originally built as a guest house, it offers great comfort with a luxury kitchen, 4 spacious bedrooms and a number of sleeping places in the mezzanine and attic, a private terrace and direct entrance to the courtyard. The accommodation has 5 bathrooms, three of which have a bathtub. In the kitchen there is an oven, gas stove with 5 burners, coffee maker, dishwasher and wood stove. The second wood stove is in the living room. Pets are welcome, but may only stay on the ground floor.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located on Cortils estate, large 76 acres including a park with natural pond, tennis court and 15 acres of private forest. There are plenty of hiking opportunities. On the estate are a sheep farm, picking garden with ecologically grown flowers and duck farm. Day trips: Liège, Maastricht, Aachen and the Ardennes.
