New offer! Beautiful authentic mountain hut in a fantastic pure natural landscape, located on an Alpine meadow. The former agriturismo, built in 2005 in traditional style with granite and wood, offers a combination of robust Alpine atmosphere and comfort. Downstairs a spacious living room with plenty of seating and wood-burning fireplace, a toilet, a spacious kitchen with 4-burner induction stove, oven, dishwasher, a pantry with fridge / freezer, washer and dryer and storage space. Upstairs 4 bedrooms, each with 3 or 4 beds and a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. All rooms have central heating. Spacious terrace with beautiful views of the Cairasca valley to the south. Plenty of space. Complete silence apart from a murmuring stream in the distance and perhaps a goat bell in the morning or burling deer at night. Accessible via a dead-end asphalt road kept snow-free in winter; roadside parking. At 1300 meters altitude within walking distance of the Swiss border.
Nature and surroundings
Breathtaking, unspoiled natural beauty in all directions. Not a single sound of traffic or airplanes. Beautiful hiking trails through the Alpe Veglia - Devero, Valle Divedro, Ciamporino, Monte Cistella, Monte Diei and the Sempione pass. Also suitable for mountain biking. The high peaks on the Swiss border are just around the corner. Restaurants with delicious local cuisine are available in the surrounding villages. The area is known for its cheeses, sausages and wines. In winter it is a beautiful area for snow hiking, cross-country skiing, ski touring and Alpine skiing in the ski resort of San Domenico - Ciamporino (15min). Leaving the mountain atmosphere and visiting beautiful Italian towns is also excellent, with nearby Domodossola and Lake Locarno / Lake Maggiore. Trasquera is also easily accessible by (day/night) train (Varzo station); Milan-Malpensa is 1.5h (110km) away. When it's time to really step away from the hustle and bustle, this is the ideal place, il Paradiso!
