In the middle of the National Landscape Winterswijk , a stone's throw from the German border , you will find our cozy Bed and Breakfast . In the "Schoppe" of the traditional farm "Hesselink-den Broeder" you can relax. The B & B is located in the schoppe of our farmhouse and comprises 75m2. It includes a living room with kitchen, a separate sleeping area and a bathroom with toilet. You will lack nothing during your stay. Bed linen and towels are provided for your stay. If there are special needs , do not hesitate to let us know . Coffee and tea during your stay are free of charge. Enjoy a cold local welcome drink on arrival . Throughout the year there is a range of local produce and delicacies from our own garden , including freshly laid eggs from our 8 silky hens .
Nature and surroundings
Kotten is one of the 9 hamlets of Winterswijk . Located in the far end of the Achterhoek , it forms one of the most eastern points of the country . The environment of Winterswijk is unique and forms one of the most beautiful areas in all of the Netherlands . Not for nothing there are 4 natura 2000 areas to be found : The Bekendelle, Willinks Weust, the Korenburgerveen and the Wooldse Veen. This makes Winterswijk and Kotten eminently suitable for walking , cycling or sports . Winterswijk is for this reason in 2020 proclaimed "Walking municipality of the year".
