The journey there is an adventure in itself. A winding forest path leads to the idyllic cottage on the hill. You feel as if you’re all alone, surrounded by the diverse natural landscape that completely envelops the cottage. It’s a cool little cottage thanks to the stone floor, shutters, and thatched roof. Depending on the wind direction, the noise from the highway is either barely audible or not at all. A special experience: As I sat in front of the cottage at dusk, two nightjars flew right in front of my nose, fluttering gently. To my utter amazement, one landed less than 3 meters away from me on the sidewalk tiles and just sat there!
We looked at each other, and then it fluttered gently away again. So beautiful!

De weg ernaartoe is al een avontuur. Een slingerend bospad leidt naar het idyllische huisje op de heuvel. Je waant je helemaal alleen met de gevarieerde natuur dat het huisje volledig omringd. Het een koel huisje dankzij de stenen vloer, raamluiken en rieten dak. Afhankelijk van de windrichting is de ruis van de snelweg wel of nauwelijks hoorbaar. Bijzondere ervaring: Terwijl ik in de avondschemering voor het huisje zat vlogen zachtjes wiekend vlak voor m'n neus twee nachtzwaluwen. Tot mijn stomme verbazing landde er één op nog geen 3 meter van mij af op de stoeptegels en ging plompverloren zitten!
We keken elkaar aan en toen wiekte hij weer zachtjes weg. Zo mooi!

A very nice stay in a nice house. Minimalist and a little back in time.... With the wood stove you can heat the house and this immediately gives a lot of atmosphere. Everything you think you need is there. The area is beautiful and it is wonderful that there are no other cottages. Total tranquility with a unique location.

Een heel fijn verblijf in een leuk huis. Minimalistisch en een beetje terug in de tijd....
Met de houtkachel kun je het huis heerlijk verwarmen en dit geeft direct ook veel sfeer.
Alles wat je nodig denkt te hebben is aanwezig.
De omgeving is prachtig en het is heerlijk dat er verder geen andere huisjes zijn. Totale rust met unieke ligging.

Een heel fijn verblijf in een prachtige omgeving. Het is heerlijk dat er verder geen andere geen andere huisjes zijn. Totale rust met unieke ligging. Heerlijk dat je zo de heide oploopt en lange wandelingen kunt maken.

A lovely cottage in which everything is in ample supply. The cold was not too bad because there is good electric heating. Both in the living room and bedrooms. And a lovely wood stove that gives warmth and coziness. With the door to the kitchen open it is fine there too. Nice slippers on your feet and enjoy the special view. The area is great for hiking right from the cottage or biking in the wide surroundings. The sound of the A28 is surpassed by the beautiful surroundings.

Een heerlijk huisje waarin alles in ruime mate aanwezig is. De koude viel reuze mee omdat er goede elektrische verwarming is. Zowel in de huiskamer als op de slaapkamers. En een heerlijke houtkachel die warmte en gezelligheid geeft. Met de deur naar de keuken open is het daar ook prima. Lekkere sloffen aan je voeten en genieten van het bijzondere uitzicht. De omgeving is geweldig om te wandelen direct vanuit het huisje of te fietsen in de wijde omgeving.
Het geluid van de A28 wordt overtroffen door de mooie omgeving.
