Nature house in Emst

The cottage was big enough for us, a couple with a dog. Small bathroom but everything worked properly and was clean. It took some puzzling how best to get the water heater to work, but that worked out well in the end. Great kitchen and plenty of room to store stuff. The owners offer all the information you need and the contact was nice. The cottage is in a park, but you notice pretty little of that, other than the one car that might drive by one day, or a few people walking by. So we felt we had plenty of privacy, and it was lovely to be able to watch the falling leaves in the garden on a rainy afternoon. The nights were also wonderfully quiet, outside of the sound of rain on the roof, which was just fine for us.

Het huisje was groot genoeg voor ons, een stel met een hond. Kleine badkamer maar alles werkte naar behoren en was netjes. Het was even puzzelen hoe we de boiler het beste aan het werk konden krijgen, maar dat lukte uiteindelijk ook goed. Prima keuken en genoeg ruimte om spullen te bergen. De eigenaren bieden alle informatie die je nodig hebt en het contact was fijn. Het huisje ligt in een park, maar daar merk je vrij weinig van, buiten de ene auto die misschien langsrijdt op een dag, of een paar mensen die langslopen. We hadden dus voor ons gevoel genoeg privacy, en het was heerlijk om op een regenachtige middag naar de vallende blaadjes in de tuin te kunnen kijken. Ook de nachten waren heerlijk stil, buiten het geluid van regen op het dak, wat voor ons alleen maar fijn was.

The nature house is located in the middle of a beautiful area. There is a wealth of forests in the immediate surroundings, and it is truly beautiful nature. We were there at the perfect time for autumn lovers, there were the most beautiful colors to see and the forest paths were covered with fallen leaves. It was wonderfully quiet, some forests are a bit busier than others, but during our busiest walk we encountered less than 10 people. Directly adjacent to the nature house is Kroondomein het Loo, where we hardly encountered any people and where you can compose your own walk using the many paths that run there. We also went hiking in the Vierhouterbos, less than fifteen minutes away, a different type of forest but just as beautiful.

Het natuurhuisje ligt middenin een prachtig gebied. Er is een rijkdom aan bossen in de directe omgevingen, en het is werkelijk waar prachtige natuur. We waren er op het perfecte moment voor herfstliefhebbers, er waren de mooiste kleuren te zien en de bospaden waren bedekt met gevallen bladeren. Het was heerlijk rustig, sommige bossen zijn wat drukker dan anderen, maar tijdens onze drukste wandeling zijn we minder dan 10 mensen tegengekomen. Direct grenzend aan het natuurhuisje ligt Kroondomein het Loo, waar we nauwelijks mensen tegenkwamen en waar je zelf je wandeling kunt samenstellen d.m.v. de vele paden die er lopen. Ook zijn we gaan wandelen in het Vierhouterbos, op minder dan een kwartier afstand, een ander type bos maar net zo mooi.

The location of the cottage was beautiful, nice peaceful forest park with wonderful hiking opportunities. Also around the cottage itself very nice and quiet. The cottage itself is unfortunately poorly insulated making the bedroom in particular very damp. We observed some black mold on the ceiling and we moved the last night to the smaller room with two single beds because we had some respiratory problems and the temperature and circulation was not pleasant. This is definitely a point of attention and improvement. The contact with the landlord is pleasant and good. Furthermore, the cottage is simple but you have everything. We still had a great time. Response from landlord: Thanks for your feedback and nice that you appreciated the location and tranquility. We find it annoying that there were traces of light mold and are taking this seriously. Hopefully we can welcome you again under better conditions in the future.

De ligging van het huisje was prachtig, fijn rustgevend bospark met prachtige wandelmogelijkheden. Ook rondom het huisje zelf heel fijn en rustig. Het huisje zelf is helaas slecht geïsoleerd waardoor vooral de slaapkamer erg vochtig is. We hebben wat zwarte schimmel op het plafond waargenomen en we zijn de laatste nacht verhuisd naar de kleinere kamer met twee eenpersoons-bedden omdat we wat last kregen van onze luchtwegen en de temperatuur en circulatie niet prettig was. Dat is zeker een punt van aandacht en verbetering. Het contact met de verhuurder is prettig en goed. Verder is het huisje eenvoudig maar heb je alles. We hebben alsnog een fijne tijd gehad.

Reactie vanuit verhuurder: Bedankt voor jullie feedback en fijn dat jullie de ligging en rust hebben gewaardeerd. We vinden het vervelend dat er sporen van lichte schimmel waren en pakken dit serieus op. Hopelijk mogen we jullie in de toekomst opnieuw ontvangen onder betere omstandigheden.

Lovely cottage, optimal privacy, very comfortable and cozy. Very well equipped for cooking and living.

Heerlijk huisje, optimale privacy, zeer comfortabel en gezellig. Zeer goed toegerust om te koken en te leven.

Fantastic nature right as soon as you walk out of the cottage. Beautiful forest, lots of wildlife so dogs do need to be kept on a leash. Clear hiking trails. Little traffic.

Fantastische natuur direct zodra je het huisje uitloopt. Prachtig bos, veel wild dus honden wel goed aan de lijn houden. Duidelijke wandelpaden. Weinig verkeer.
