Nature house in Warfhuizen

Our Tiny house is beautifully situated on a small, tree-lined meadow next to our farmhouse, built in 1814, just outside the charming village of Warfhuizen. Here, you can fully enjoy the peace and quiet, privacy, the changing seasons, the view, and all the activities the surrounding area has to offer. There is one bedroom with a double bed, and the other bedroom has a single fold-out bed. The kitchen is equipped with, among other things, a three-burner gas stove and an oven. There’s plenty to enjoy in the surrounding area, but you can also simply sit out in the meadow right outside your door or at the edge of the property (with sweeping views of the countryside). A picnic table and garden chairs are provided! The beds are made, and in the kitchen you’ll find (a starter supply of) coffee, tea, pepper, salt, and oil. On the table is a folder with tips and instructions. Would you like to come with more people? Just around the corner (but out of sight), our neighbors also have a lovely nature house, number 79435. You can camp there as well.

The property borders the Kromme Raken, a tributary of the Reitdiep. You can also swim there at the end of our driveway; there’s a dock for canoes (available for rent from our neighbors). The bike and walking path is an excellent starting point for hikes and bike rides. The surrounding area is definitely worth exploring: the Wadden Sea is 10 kilometers away, and Lauwersmeer National Park is 15 kilometers away. There are also many manors, villages, hamlets, and other places within walking, biking, or driving distance that are worth visiting. Here are a few highlights: the magnificent Verhildersum Manor (with a museum, sculpture garden, and restaurant), the Wierdenland Museum in Ezinge, the seal sanctuary in Lauwersoog, the fishing museum in Zoutkamp, Winsum, 9 kilometers away (voted the most beautiful village in the Netherlands), and, of course, the city of Groningen with all it has to offer, just over 20 kilometers away. In the immediate vicinity: the village playground, canoeing, Waddenfun, the charming little church.... Great places to eat! We’d be happy to give you further recommendations.
