Our nature house is located on a tree-lined meadow, next to our 1814 farmhouse, outside the beautiful village of Warfhuizen. The chalet has a double bedroom and a single fold-out bed in the second bedroom. The kitchen includes a three-burner stove and an oven. There is WiFi and a wonderful view. In the vicinity is plenty to enjoy, but next to your own door in the meadow, or sit on the tip of the plot (with panoramic views over the countryside) can of course also. Nature and surroundings
The plot borders the Kromme Raken, a tributary of the Reitdiep. At the head of our driveway can be swum in it, at the jetty can be moored by a canoe. The bicycle-footpath is an excellent starting point for walks and bicycle tours. The surroundings are certainly worth exploring: the Wadden Sea is at 10 kilometers, the national park Lauwersmeer at 15 kilometers. We do a selection: the beautiful borg Verhildersum (with museum, sculpture garden and catering), museum Wierdenland in Ezinge, the seal crèche in Lauwersoog, the fishing museum in Zoutkamp, Winsum at 9 kilometers (voted the most beautiful village in the Netherlands), and of course the city of Groningen with all its possibilities just over 20 kilometers.
