Nature house in Coo

The only thing I didn't expect was that they didn't sort the trash. In that regard, I don't think this place fits the nature house brand.

Het enige wat ik niet verwacht had was het niet scheiden van afval . In dat opzicht vind ik het verblijf niet bij Natuurhuisje passen.

Scenic, winding roads leading to the vacation park. A small, quiet vacation park with beautiful views and vistas. The cottage itself was nicely decorated and fully equipped.

Avontuurlijk stijle weggetjes naar het vakantiepark. Kleinschalig , rustig vakantiepark. Met mooie uitzicht/vergezichten. Het huisje zelf was leuk ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien.

We thought the cottage was even nicer than it looked in the photos. We were pleasantly surprised, and there were plenty of amenities.

Vonden het huisje mooier dan op de foto's. Aangenaam verrast en veen voorzieningen aanwezig.

You’ve got to love the decor. It’s true—just about everything was there. Except for an electric grill, and even though it turned out there was a ban on charcoal grills...So, unfortunately, barbecuing isn’t possible. The water in the cottage isn’t officially approved as drinking water because the acidity level is too high. We drank it anyway and didn’t have any problems. But it might be worth mentioning.

Van de inrichting moet je houden. Inderdaad was ongeveer alles aanwezig. Behalve dan een elektrische barbecue, en dat terwijl er een verbod bleek te zijn op een houtskoolbarbecue.....Barbecueen is dus niet mogelijk helaas. Het water in het huisje is officieel niet goedgekeurd als drinkwater, want te hoge zuurgraad. We hebben het gewoon gedronken en hadden nergens last van. Maar misschien wel handig om het te vermelden.

After all the positive reviews, here’s a slightly more critical post. Yes, you’re right in the middle of the Ardennes. Unfortunately, you have to drive to a parking lot to walk into the forest. You can’t really just walk into the forest from the cottage, which is what we’d hoped. The cottages are quite close together, so we could hear quite clearly whenever the neighbor’s dog, Lola, did something she wasn’t supposed to (“Lola!!!”), and unfortunately, she did that quite often. The view was somewhat limited by the hedge, which was too tall, as well as by the other cottages and trees. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a view stretching far across the fields. That said, we slept exceptionally well—it’s super quiet at night, and it’s also wonderful that you can slide the large screen into the sliding glass door. Despite the heat, the cottage was also nice and cool!

Na alle positieve reviews toch een iets kritischer bericht. Ja, je zit midden in de Ardennen. Helaas moet je met de auto naar een parkeerplaats om het bos in te kunnen lopen. Je kunt niet echt zo vanuit het huisje het bos in, wat wij hadden gehoopt. De huisjes staan best dicht op elkaar, dus we hoorden nogal duidelijk wanneer de buurhond Lola iets deed wat niet mocht ("Lola!!!") en dat deed ze helaas nogal vaak. Het uitzicht werd nogal beperkt door de te hoge heg, en ook door de andere huisjes en bomen. We hadden helaas geen uitzicht ver over de velden heen. We hebben overigens uitstekend geslapen, 's nachts is het superrustig en ook heerlijk dat je de grote hor in de schuifpui kunt zetten. Het huisje was ondanks de hitte ook lekker koel!
