Upon entering, a glass vestibule composed of antique windows welcomes you to a cozy kitchen. The kitchen has a stove with oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and Delonghi coffee maker, then leads you into a very spacious living and dining room with a cozy fireplace that guarantees cozy evenings. There is a small bedroom downstairs and a fine bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one of 57m² and the other of 17m², and an elegantly equipped bathroom with shower, bath and toilet. Right at the house you will find a convenient garage. A large barn of about 270m2 offers shelter, charm and a play area with a table tennis table, dartboard, a small pool table and sitting area. The adventure doesn't stop at the house. On the vast 1.1-hectare property there are still two old, partly dilapidated buildings, a testimony to the past of the hamlet of Chaumois.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located on a small road with almost no traffic passing by. It is located in the hamlet of Chaumois in the municipality of Empury in the Nièvre department. It is located 7 hours drive from Utrecht on a hill, on over 1 ha of land. At 7 km is Lormes with a nice Bi1 supermarket, 2 bakers, some specialty stores, pharmacy and restaurants. There is also a small market every Thursday. At 3 km is the village of Saint Martin-du-Puy with the nearest bakery. The house is situated on a hill and from the private land there is a magnificent view all around over the lovely landscape of the Northwest side of Parc naturel régional du Morvan. Our vacation home in the Morvan is a perfect base for those seeking peace, nature and the authenticity of French rural life.
