Cozy, historic vacation home (former customs house from the 17th century, ceiling height on average just under 2 m) in the middle of Jesberg. The 50 square meters of living space are divided into two floors. On the ground floor there is a fully equipped eat-in kitchen (electric stove with ceramic hob, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee pad machine). In the living area there is a dining area, as well as a sofa and an internet-enabled TV for cozy TV evenings. A steep staircase leads to the upper floor. The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable 180x200 cm double bed, desk and internet-enabled TV. The bathroom has a shower and a hairdryer. There is a small seating area in front of and behind the house, as well as a parking space for your car. Right next door in the house is our Prinzessinnengarten vacation apartment, which can sleep up to 7 people if both properties are booked, ideal for large families or friends. Pets for a fee.
Nature and surroundings
Jesberg is also known as the gateway to the Kellerwald forest and is the ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours in the Red Riding Hood region. Jesberg is located directly on the Schwalm cycle path and the railroad cycle path starts in Neustadt. The Kellerwald-Edersee region in the heart of Germany has many attractions and offers for active guests and for people looking for peace and relaxation on vacation. Both the Kellerwald and the Edersee Nature Park invite you to enjoy numerous outdoor experiences. The diverse, often untouched landscape, the unspoilt nature and the Kellerwald forest, which is partly protected as a national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site, are a flagship for the region. But the surrounding area also has a lot to offer culturally: the lignite museum in Borken, the Schwalm Museum in Ziegenhain, Kassel, Marburg, Fritzlar and Frankenberg are also within easy reach. Jesberg itself offers a wonderful outdoor pool in summer and there are numerous lakes in the immediate vicinity.
