Our cottage is located at the foot of the abbey in the small village of Himmerod. The village consists only of the abbey and 8 other houses. We had a really nice vacation.
We hebben een hele leuke vakantie gehad.
When we arrived, we couldn’t get into the cottage and the contact person was unreachable. We had to wait two hours for this to be resolved. Ultimately, the landlord handled the situation well. The cottage wasn’t clean in some areas (dog hair under the couch and bed, rugs and blankets that didn’t smell fresh). The cleaning is only superficial. The furnishings are quite outdated.

There’s a monastery and a bakery just around the corner, but also open, peaceful nature that you can walk right into.
