Our home in the mountains, your vacation home! Beautifully situated in the most picturesque valley of the Hautes-Alpes, on the edge of the Des Ecrins National Park. Here you’ll find the ultimate peace and quiet after a wonderful, active day in the mountains. Walking, hiking, biking, climbing, via ferrata, spotting marmots, wading in the mountain river, swimming in the lake, skiing, ski touring, or simply enjoying the view from the large terrace. There’s something for everyone! Three of the four rooms have their own bathroom with a shower. The restroom is located in the hallway. There are three rooms, each with two single beds that can be converted into a double bed. The refuge room sleeps 5 people (2x bottom/2x top/1x separate), and this room also has its own bathroom with a shower. On the mezzanine, there is a cozy armchair and a TV corner. The living area features an extensive library and a comfortable sofa. The dining area is spacious enough for 8 adults. Take advantage of the fully equipped modern kitchen. Welcome
Nature and surroundings
The house is located on the edge of the Ecrins National Park. It sits in a dead-end valley; beyond the house, the road continues for 2 km before ending in the picturesque, car-free village of Prapic. You can set out right from your front door for long hikes in the summer. Within a 15-minute drive, there are several starting points for ski touring, or you can head to the Orcières-Merlette ski area, just a 10-minute drive away. With its 100 km of slopes, it’s an ideal ski area for all ages. Another fun fact: we get an average of 300 days of sunshine a year here... So even in winter, you’ll find bright blue skies—and yet another reason to spend your cherished summer and winter sports vacations here.
