Minimalist, smart, in the middle of nature This idyllic retreat helps burnt-out people who are spit out by our modern world. It's time to come down and let go of the stress of everyday life and the usual: no signing autographs and giving interviews, no annoying 5-star chic chic, living the day in the discreet seclusion of nature and thrown back on yourself, feeling the value of a simple life to sharpen your senses for a clear head. There are several geographical power spots on the estate - one of them in the middle of the lake - and the special atmosphere at the private fishing and swimming pond (lake), the sensitively designed garden and the sculptures there give an insight into the soul of an artist.

Nature and surroundings

Many villages in the region have retained the unmistakable charm of old farming villages. In this diversity, the district of Verden offers ample opportunity for rest and relaxation, but also enough space for discoveries and encounters. Our guests love to wander through the Geest hills, quiet stream valleys and small areas of heath and moorland. They enjoy discovering the land between the Aller and the Geest by bike or on foot. On well-developed cycle paths they ride through the beautiful landscape of the Lintler Geest or they take the small Solar Aller ferry (ferry season from May 1 to October 3 - Saturdays from 2 to 6 p.m., Sundays and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) on the Aller-Heide cycle path across the largest tributary of the Weser and explore the equestrian town of Verden.

We enjoyed our stay! All facilities are available and contact with the landlord is easy and quick. If you need something it is arranged in no time and the loan bicycles are very convenient to take to the nearby villages.

Located in a beautiful, wooded area is a modern caravan disguised as a cozy Tiny house. The very friendly host has created a green oasis of tranquility where you will unwind shortly after arrival! The plot offers a lot of privacy and feels like the middle of nowhere, while 10 to 20 minutes by bike are 2 nice villages where you can eat, fill up and do some shopping. The cottage is not directly on the water, but close enough for a nice view over the spacious pond. The wooden terrace is spacious, but there are other nice places set up to enjoy the sun and the surroundings. There is an array of trees, flowers and plants to view and those with patience can also spot deer and various birds including woodpeckers and owls. Those who enjoy hiking do not actually have to leave the plot; the owner has created a nice route around the plot. A little further away are beautiful forests and cycling routes.

What I resolved to do: Switching off, fasting, digital detox, nature, peace and quiet, clearing my head, just being! What I found/achieved: All this and more! I arrived (almost) completely without digital devices. No tablet, no digital watch, just a cell phone (always switched off). No podcast, no book. I didn't want to let any impressions into my head other than what I see and experience. So I set myself 5 days of silence and meditation. As I didn't have a watch, I lived into the day as it suited me. I spent a lot of time looking around the lake. I relaxed and looked at it and everything that was happening there. Birds, fish, frogs, butterflies, waves, play of light, wind, sounds, etc. Then I discovered more hectares of land that also belong to Frank and fell in love again. In general, there is a lot of love there. In the details and in the form of hearts (bushes, trees, sculptures), hospitality, conversations, pairs of animals... Fabulous!

    Nature, peace & environment: 5 /5

This place is perfect for unwinding. You are in the middle of nature and nature is always around you, with you. As nature, especially in spring, tends to molt and show off, peace and quiet is relative. The nearby road is sometimes loud, depending on traffic and road users, but always only in the background. At night between 1 and 4 o'clock it is !!! really! quiet! It is dead quiet. Every now and then a coughing frog or a badly sleeping sheep. Otherwise nothing. There are hardly any cars around either. It's a very special experience, especially on warm nights. The "Naturhaus" is surrounded by meadows, fields, a nature reserve and a wonderful garden of several hectares with a beautiful lake and small ponds. Wonderfully laid out and lovingly cared for. Crowned with the 3 hosts, Frank, his equally friendly roommate and his very special cat. ...an exciting story could start like this.... ;-)

What does “Fireworks-free” mean?
The host indicates that the area is firework-free. Firework-free means that no firework bangs can be heard in and around the accommodation. You might occasionally hear some noise or see some light from fireworks set off outside the immediate area. It is important that you agree with the landlord on what you can expect.
Selection of activities
After each stay, we invite our guests to rate the nature house, the surroundings, and specific activities. An activity is only shown at a nature house if it meets two conditions: at least 20 unique reviews have been given, and at least 60% of guests gave a score of ‘amazing’ (3/4) or ‘wow’ (4/4).
