Cozy cottage attached to the house of Lydia and Ron, your landlords. Lots of privacy and fully equipped. A covered terrace for rainy days or cool evenings. Another terrace, with a large parasol, a sturdy stone table and comfortable chairs. A lovely large fenced garden (safe for dogs!) with lots of space for nature, no raked mess:). A part is mowed weekly, so you can also sit in the grass. In the cottage an infrared sauna, super fast wifi and also a large smart TV with a.o. Netflix. Living kitchen with stove, oven, radio, microwave, dishwasher. A large window in the living room with binoculars on the windowsill for our guests, because there are all sorts of things flying around worth watching. The living room on the 1st floor can be reached by stairs, which are not steep and have good handrails. The dike of the Dollart, a tributary of the Wadden Sea, is 100 meters from the house. Nature and surroundings
You live in the Unesco World Heritage Site of the Wadden Sea. A huge nature/bird sanctuary. On the border of the Ems and the Dollart, We live with the tides in the silence of the Rheiderland. 3 kilometers away is the fishing village of Ditzum, with restaurants and a cafe at the harbor. Around the house the flat Ostfriesian land. Cows, horses. Because the farmers mow late, there are still meadow birds here. Curlews, avocets, redshanks, lapwings, oystercatchers and the impressive black-tailed godwit. The bald eagle can be seen here very regularly. In autumn and winter there are many thousands of geese that eat on land and sleep on the mudflats. Hearing and seeing perish as they fly to and from their roost, over our vacation home. The sauna in the house is great and helps a lot to relax even more from everyday life and get out. It is very peaceful and quiet. Super süßes und schönes Haus mit allem was man braucht. Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle und erholsame Zeit. Die Sauna im Haus ist super und hilft sehr, um sich noch mehr vom Alltag zu erholen und mal rauszukommen. Es ist sehr friedlich und ruhig. Rundum war es sehr schön und wir würden immer wieder kommen. :)
