In House of the Valley's sprawling garden and orchard, there are countless places to relax in nature. With different levels and steps on the property, there is much to explore and see. A popular hiking trial starts within walking distance with trails from 4.5 km to 14 km. On Friday mornings there is a small local market. House of the Valley is located on the Route de Romanico, a route along 58 Romanesque monuments in northern Portugal along the Sousa, Douro and Tâmega rivers.
