This Nature House has a rich history. The Kerkhoven family who bought 't Gagel around 1890 built the dome. The family owned a tea plantation in Java (Hella S. Haasse writes about it in her book De Heren van de Thee), and came to Holland once a year to discuss here the figures that the brewing farmer consulted with them.
