Nature house in Biches

This nature house is a wonderful home for people who love peace, space, and nature—a charming and cozy place to stay where you’ll truly feel at home. The house has a large living room, divided into two sections: on the left is the TV lounge with a comfortable sofa and chairs, Wi-Fi, Dutch TV, a DVD player, a stack of books, children’s toys, and board games; on the right is the dining area and two comfortable armchairs. Adjacent to this is the kitchen—compact yet fully equipped—as well as the bathroom and a separate toilet. The house has two bedrooms with window screens, both located on the ground floor at the back of the house—the cooler side—ensuring you can sleep comfortably even in the summer heat. The living room and kitchen offer direct access to the garden; in front of the house is a large fenced-in patio, and to the right is a lovely, spacious garden with a large swing and a wonderful unobstructed view of the beautiful rural landscape. Outside, there are chairs and seating areas everywhere, including adjustable chairs and a covered seating area.

Within walking or biking distance (1.5 km) are the forest, the Forêt de Vincences, and the Canal du Nivernais, along which you can enjoy wonderful walks or bike rides through an oasis of greenery and tranquility. (A few bicycles are available) A little further along the canal (4 min by car) is “Site de Fleury,” a beautiful natural area where the Aron River flows; during the summer months, a section of the river is dammed off by a wooden “dam” to create a natural swimming lake. The landscape is further characterized by rolling hills, vast forests, and beautiful lakes—and not to mention the stunning Morvan Nature Park, a mountainous region where you can still find truly unspoiled scenery. Within walking distance is the bar/restaurant La P’tite Biche, and in the neighboring village of Brinay, there’s a cozy restaurant run by very friendly Dutch-speaking owners where you can enjoy a delicious meal.
