Relax completely in our welcoming and cozy vacation home in the Lunigiana in Tuscany, the region where no one is in a hurry. Our house has an area of about 100 m2 and lies on a fenced area of about 5000 m2, a large part of which may be used and where there are several seats. You have plenty of privacy here. Wherever you are in the house or in the garden: everywhere you see greenery and hear different animal sounds. Our house is also located next to a beautiful pond (unfortunately you can't swim in it) and a bamboo forest. The house is nicely decorated in light and natural colors and is fully equipped and is entirely on the ground floor. As much of the previous owner's furniture as possible has been refurbished and reused. All windows have mosquito nets and on the side of the house you have a sublime view of a vineyard and the mountains. At night it often cools down well because of the higher location of the house (about 350 m above sea level).
Nature and surroundings
The Lunigiana is a beautiful, mountainous region with many medieval castles and full of pastel-colored villages, enchanting valleys and medieval borghi (castle villages). You can go hiking, biking or fishing. It is the still quiet undiscovered part of Tuscany and is completely surrounded by mountains, therefore there is a microclimate with very pleasant weather. Also, the region has the cleanest air in Italy. The views are breathtaking, especially of the Apuan Alps. In the vicinity are many beautiful streams with crystal clear and ice cold water, great for refreshment. In 40 minutes you are on The Ligurian coast with beautiful sandy and rocky beaches in beautiful places like Lerici, Portovenere and Tellaro. Famous Tuscan cities like Lucca, Pisa and Florence are easily accessible for a day trip. There are also closer towns and cities worth visiting, such as Pontremoli and Sarzana. Our house is an 8 min drive from the beautiful village of Fivizzano.
