We, Menno and Ellen, rent out a stable converted into a gite in Lucenay l'Evêque at the end of our fenced garden, about 45m from our property, where we also run our chambres d'hôtes and receive guests who come for a bite to eat. A cozy cottage with a lounge cum kitchen, bedroom with a French double bed (140), sofa bed in the lounge and bathroom with shower and toilet. In winter heated by a pellet stove. We are with our (in high season lively) company in a mainly quiet area of the national park le Morvan, 15km from Autun in the village Lucenay l'Eveque. You have a private terrace, between kiwi and linden trees and a piece of garden for the late sun. -Guests appreciate the stay in an independent cottage between the hills and by a small river, with the possibility of catered breakfasts and dinners. Consider booking -unconstrained and informal Important to know; we have pets, two dogs and chickens! Parking right behind the gite.
Nature and surroundings
Because of an abundance of space and nature, our target market is characterized by hikers, cyclists and people who just want to get out of the city. Many, many woods and in between the meadows with Charolais cattle. With or without a drive hours cycling or walking and (almost) no one will encounter. We have maps for various routes. Climbs for the sporty but also sloping through forest, field and water A not by city and industrial light polluted starry sky in the evening is the reward for those who can appreciate the small. Especially in high season there is a range of activities and exhibitions. Every Sunday there is a flea market somewhere. Visits to one of the many castles in the area, possibly accompanied by a wine tasting. At 15 km is the Old Roman city of Autun with its 12th-century cathedral and city walls from the time of Emperor Augustus, when Autun was still called Augustodunum. It is worth paying attention to the 18th-century facades.
