Nature house in Groede

Our farmhouse barn, converted into a loft, is a wonderful place to relax! You’ll be delighted by the uniquely designed spaces, the natural light, a private little garden, shared grounds, and all the modern comforts you’ll find inside. The space accommodates four people, with the option to sleep five or six upon request. The living-dining-kitchen area features a cozy sitting area combined with a custom-designed built-in kitchen and a round dining table. The kitchen is equipped with a spacious refrigerator, freezer compartment, induction cooktop, combination microwave/oven, and plenty of kitchenware for cooking your own meals. This space features underfloor heating. The living-dining-kitchen area has French doors that open onto a private terrace/garden. There is also a large shared outdoor area available. Both upstairs bedrooms have private walk-in showers and sinks. A fifth and sixth person are welcome upon request. They sleep on the loft above the master bedroom. See photos.

We are located 1.5 km from the picturesque village of Groede, an artists’ village with a beautiful church and a market square lined with outdoor cafes that make you feel as if you’re in the South of France. However, if you walk from our property in the opposite direction, after a few hundred meters you’ll arrive in Waterdunen, a beautiful nature reserve where many species of birds nest and where the tides set the rhythm of the day. This creates a unique saltwater tidal ecosystem. The beach is also nearby—2 km as the crow flies, or 3.5 km by bike or car. So you can easily get some fresh air or soak up the sun along our wide coastline with its beautiful beaches. If you just want to do absolutely nothing, you can always relax in our garden and on our grounds, which cover about a quarter of a hectare. A trampoline and a ping-pong table are available. Enjoy a lovely dinner at sunset with a view of the dunes. In the evening, build a cozy fire and gaze at the stars! Because the nights here are still truly dark :-)
