Our unique (new) detached homely vacation home is located in the lovely village of Kotschach, in the wide Gailtal valley in western Carinthia. Austria's sunniest province, at the foot of the Plöckenpass to Italy. The house is right on the family slope in Kötschach, where you can see the skiers coming down from the living room in winter. A warmly decorated house with a spacious dining room sitting area, a beautiful new kitchen and spacious bedrooms. Outside you sit comfortably under a covered terrace. The upstairs balcony offers stunning views of the mountains around Kötschach, Austria on the one hand, Italy on the other. Nature and surroundings
Where the 2 alps Gailtaler and Kanische meet in Carinthia lies the cozy village of Kötschauch-Mauthen at 705m altitude. Due to its location on the south side of the Alps, the weather is generally sunny and warm in summer, colder in winter. It is a beautiful area for all kinds of activities in summer such as mountain biking, hiking, swimming (swimming pool with spa within walking distance) and certainly a wonderful area for touring around on motorcycles. In winter you can walk to the adjacent family run. Want a little more challenge with skiing you can go to Nassfeld (with ski bus or car) or possibly to LIenz. In short in summer and winter of everything to see and do!
