A very warm welcome in our wooden forest cottage. Characteristic of the cottage: good basic amenities in a warm, cozy atmosphere. The outside walls are insulated, keeping the cottage warm in winter and cool in summer. You enter into a cozy kitchen. From there you walk through to the living room, to which the bathroom/toilet adjoins and the two bedrooms. There is a cozy wooden dining table and a soft sofa. Games, reading and nature books, drawing materials and toys are available. There is also (fiberglass) wifi and a smart TV with channels, which makes the cottage suitable for a "workation." The garden is green in summer and winter and has shady and sunny spots where you can sit comfortably.
Nature and surroundings
As you cook, you look from the kitchen through the large window into the garden, where a hare hops carefree across the path, squirrels shoot through the trees and birds feel unspoiled. The car-free forest park is located in nature reserve "de Vuursteenberg. From the park you can walk or cycle across the Wezepsche heathland, Petrea estate or the vast Veluwe nature reserve. For culture, museums and other urban adventures you can cycle in 15 minutes to the Hanseatic town of Hattem or cross the river IJssel to Zwolle with all its amenities. The nearest supermarket is in Wezep. In the park itself you will find a playground with a climbing apparatus. Tips for good restaurants, special places in the area, beautiful cycling and walking tours with or without children you can always ask us.
