If you are looking for a simple life away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this old cottage without electricity or running water is just the place for you. The cottage has been restored over many years in accordance with conservation guidelines. Two old tiled stoves, an antique wood stove and a hot pot: "firing" is the beginning of many everyday activities here. In general, everything here takes a little more time, but if you get involved, you will slowly but surely come to rest :-) With a bit of luck, you can watch wild animals from my Nature house, or enjoy a soothing bath in the open air. Important to know: My Nature house has neither electricity nor running water. The house next door has sockets for charging appliances, a fridge can also be used and water is drawn from an outside tap. Water can be heated in the cottage for coffee, tea or for washing up on the wood stove. Please note further information in the house rules!
Nature and surroundings
The vacation cottage is located on the edge of the village of Jucher and belongs to the municipality of Radelfingen in the Bernese Seeland. The Niederried Stausee nature reserve is within walking distance, or you can take a short hike to the "Chutzenturm" with its magnificent panoramic views. 6km away is the historic town of Aarberg with its many good restaurants. Aarberg also has a lovely outdoor swimming pool. Lakes Biel, Murten and Neuchâtel are 20 - 30 km away. On the other side of the Frienisberg, Bern (UNESCO World Heritage Site), also about 20 km away, is always worth a visit. Many excursion destinations are easily accessible by public transport, the bus stop is about 3 minutes' walk away.

David was great—so welcoming! His little cottage is gorgeous; he renovated it with great taste and professionalism. I have absolutely no complaints! (Our baby really appreciated having a small fridge available!) I’m already looking forward to coming back!
