Nature house in Stekene

The house is fantastic. The contact with Anne was very nice. We have a one-year-old child and everything was taken care of. Both bath products, a high chair and a cot. The kitchen is nice and spacious, so you can enjoy cooking. Also the garden is lovely set up, including a boule set. We enjoyed ourselves!

Het huis is fantastisch. Het contact met Anne verliep heel erg fijn. We hebben een kindje van één jaar en alles was verzorgd. Zowel badartikelen, een kinderstoel en een bedje. Ontzettend fijn.
De keuken is lekker ruim, waardoor je lekker kunt koken. Ook de tuin is heerlijk opgezet, met onder andere een jeu de boule-set. Wij hebben genoten!

The house is in a lovely area, with deer and squirrels, among others. You experience no nuisance from neighbors and really have your own place. The house itself is fully equipped.

Het huis ligt in een heerlijke omgeving, met o.a. herten en eekhoorns. Je ondervindt geen overlast van buren en hebt echt een eigen plekje. Het huis zelf is van alle gemakken voorzien.

The overall experience in the cottage was good. The provision of information from the owners was a lot, a lot of information was provided (double or more often). Tip for this is all the information in 1 place (in the cottage but also eg in the mail) to make it clearer. I myself did not like the many phone calls from the owner.

De algemene ervaring in het huisje is goed. De informatievoorziening vanuit de eigenaren was veel, er werd veel informatie (dubbel of nog vaker) verstrekt. Tip hiervoor is alle informatie op 1 plek (in het huisje maar ook bijv. in de mail) om het wat overzichtelijker te maken. Zelf heb ik de vele appjes van de eigenaar niet als prettig ervaren.

The cottage had a nice place in nature and was fully equipped. Less was the bathroom that could not be closed and 1 bedroom that was very low and also had no door. The access road was also very bad, you had to drive very slowly and zigzag past all the potholes and puddles. It was clear that the water could not be drunk, however too bad that the water also stank quite a bit (e.g. not so nice to take a bath).

Het huisje had een fijne plek in de natuur en was voorzien van alle gemakken. Minder was wel de badkamer die niet afgesloten kon en 1 slaapkamer die erg laag was en die ook geen deur had. De toegangsweg was ook erg slecht, je moest erg langzaam rijden en zigzaggen langs alle kuilen en waterplassen. Het was duidelijk dat het water niet gedronken kon worden, echter jammer dat het water ook best wel stonk (bijv. niet zo lekker om in bad te gaan).

The cottage is spacious, cozy and very comfortably furnished. We felt "at home" right away. The kitchen is very spacious and very complete. Ideal for extensive cooking yourself. The bathroom was large and comfortable. There are two bedrooms, each with a double bed and a single bed. The sofa bed in the living room was easy to unfold and also comfortable. The outdoor area is also very large and enjoyable, with sitting areas, garden furniture, fire pit, bbq and even a dartboard and other outdoor games. Although we did not meet the landlord in person, the contact via WhatsApp was very nice and welcoming.

Het huisje is ruim, gezellig en heel comfortabel ingericht. We voelden ons gelijk “thuis”. De keuken is heel ruim en heel compleet. Ideaal om zelf uitgebreid te koken. De badkamer was groot en comfortabel. Er zijn twee slaapkamers, elk met een tweepersoonsbed en een eenpersoonsbed. De slaapbank in de huiskamer was makkelijk uit te klappen en ook comfortabel. Ook de buitenruimte is heel groot en plezierig, met zithoekjes, tuinmeubilair, vuurplaats, bbq en zelfs een dartboard en andere buitenspelletjes. Hoewel de verhuurder niet persoonlijk ontmoet hebben, was het contact via WhatsApp heel fijn en verwelkomend.

It was wonderfully quiet with lots of privacy. You're really in the middle of the forest here with squirrels and the occasional sound of an owl at night. Wonderful to unwind, or (like) us fine together.

Het was heerlijk rustig met veel privacy. Je zit hier echt midden in het bos met eekhoorntjes en ‘s nacht af en toe het geluid van een uil. Heerlijk om tot rust te komen, of (zoals) wij fijn samen te zijn.
