Mediterranean vacation home in a quiet location, 1 km outside Carpignano Salentino. The natural stone house has a cozy, covered terrace with outdoor shower and large garden. There is an open kitchen with a five-burner gas stove, oven, double sink and a small dishwasher. Internet wi-fi, air conditioning and heating are available in every room. Il Cocco offers 2 bedrooms with double bed. If necessary, one of the double beds can be separated into 2 single beds. We are a German-Italian family and live on the neighboring property, about 100m from the vacation home. We are happy to help you with advice and tips.
Nature and surroundings
Carpignano Salentino is a typical southern Italian village with 3500 inhabitants. Restaurants, supermarket and bakery are 1km away. The attractive provincial capital of Lecce can be reached in half an hour by car. After a beautiful drive along extensive olive groves (13km), you reach the very varied coastline. Kilometers of sandy beaches, "Alimini" beach, "Baia dei Turchi". The coastal town of Otranto with its beautiful old town is also only 14 km away - steep coastline interrupted by small sandy bays with crystal-clear water: Passing small fishing villages, you reach Cap Santa Maria di Leuca.

What a wonderful stay we had in this cottage! The cottage is spacious and offers all the comforts you could want. Everything was taken care of to perfection, from the neat bedrooms to the cozy covered terrace with BBQ and of course the well-equipped kitchen where we could cook well.
Wat een heerlijk verblijf hebben wij gehad in dit vakantiehuisje! Het huisje is ruim en biedt alle comfort die je maar kunt wensen. Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd, van de nette slaapkamers tot aan het gezellige overdekt terras met BBQ en natuurlijk de goed uitgeruste keuken waar we goed konden koken.
Its location in the middle of a natural environment on its own property made our stay enjoyable. It was great to wake up in the morning with a view of the green surroundings and in the evening to enjoy the peace and the starry sky. Moreover, the cottage was an ideal base to explore the region. The immediate area is not so suitable for hiking or cycling but we took beautiful drives by car and visited interesting places, all within a short distance.
De ligging midden in een natuurlijke omgeving op eigen terrein maakte ons verblijf aangenaam. Het was fantastisch om 's ochtends wakker te worden met uitzicht op de groene omgeving en 's avonds te genieten van de rust en de sterrenhemel. Bovendien was het vakantiehuisje een ideale uitvalsbasis om de regio te verkennen. De directe omgeving is niet zo geschikt voor wandelen of fietsen maar we hebben mooie ritjes met de auto gemaakt en interessante plaatsen bezocht, allemaal binnen korte afstand.
