Here you wake up with the sun on the window, the smell of awakening greenery and the magical spectacle of singing birds. This cabin is on the edge of a vast nature park. Also not far away is the Kalmthoutse Heide, one of the oldest and largest nature reserves in Flanders. This nature reserve is a rare remnant of the once vast European heath landscape. Dat ritme bracht me dichter bij mezelf en nodigde me uit nog meer te vertragen. Slapen met de maan op je gezicht, de ochtend wandelen in de mooie omgeving, in de namiddag rust nemen om dat boek eindelijk eens te lezen en daarmee stoppen als het te donker wordt om in de dansende vlammen van de warme kachel te kijken.
