Our nature house offers peace, space, and privacy. In our nature house, you’ll feel the spaciousness and rural atmosphere that let you “get away” and unwind. This modern, contemporary home is fully equipped with all the amenities you need. We’ve opted for a modern interior with vintage elements—a surprising and beautiful combination. On one hand, there’s a new kitchen and fresh new beds; on the other, the vintage items add warmth and character to the bright, modern interior. Stylish and warm, yet also comfortable, fresh, and clean. The vacation home has its own parking area on a former farmstead in the heart of Friesland. On one side is a beautiful orchard, and on the other, an unobstructed view of the meadows and farmland. It features a spacious terrace with patio furniture on the south side and a seating area on the east side to catch the rising sun. In addition, our nature house has a lockable bike shed with a power outlet.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house is in a quiet location with plenty of privacy thanks to the beautiful trees, hedges, and plants. We’d love to introduce all our visitors to the beautiful nature, tranquility, and open spaces that Friesland has to offer. We’re located along the cycle junction route in the heart of Friesland, making us an excellent base for beautiful bike rides as well as hiking trips. The Princess Margriet Canal is within walking distance, where you can relax by the water or cast a line. Nearby is also De Alde Feanen National Park, situated around the village of Earnewald. It features waterways, reed beds, and a wide variety of plant and animal species. The lively water sports villages of Akkrum, Terherne, and Grou are a (short) bike ride away from our nature house. Larger towns such as Sneek, Leeuwarden, Heerenveen, and Joure are easily accessible and lie about 15 km away.

The cottage is very comfortable, with screens everywhere so the rooms can stay cool without mosquitoes or flies. Excellent rain and hand shower. Spacious room with nice and sturdy furniture, well-equipped kitchen area in room. Very quiet, almost inaudible refrigerator. Thoughtful design and pleasant decor in green and yellow.
Zeer stille, vrijwel onhoorbare koelkast. Doordacht ontwerp en aangename inrichting in groen en geel.
Superb views of the garden and meadows through a large floor-to-ceiling window across the width of the house. Seen a roe deer nearby, hares and a brown hen harrier. Sound insulation inside and relative to surroundings very high due to heavy doors and double, high quality glazing.
