This cottage was built by our grandfather around 1980 in the yard of our family farm. We have always hosted family and friends there, but now like to share it with a larger audience.The cottage is fully furnished with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. It is a wooden cottage, which gives it a unique atmosphere, but also makes for creaky floors and squeaky doors. There is a gas stove for heating, hot water in the kitchen and bathroom, and in the summer the thatched roof keeps it comfortably cool. You can also sit outside overlooking the meadow and pond.
Nature and surroundings
The farm is no longer in operation, but the surroundings are as beautiful as ever. In the yard a historic tobacco barn typical of this region and a haystack. The house Groot Diermen is already on maps from the 13th century. We live on a dead end road, 3km from the center of Nijkerk and 8km from Putten. Depending on the direction of the wind you may sometimes hear the highway, but otherwise it is a quiet environment with wonderful sounds of nature.

We enjoyed our long weekend.
Wij hebben genoten van ons lange weekend.
A beautiful former sheepfold lovingly decorated with authentic vintage furniture. Everything you need is there and the hosts are responsive, flexible and extremely attentive. In the area you can make beautiful walks or you can sit outside and look out over the country. We have seen deer, hares and several birds of prey, among others. A wonderful place to unwind and an ideal base for trips in the area!
