Nature house in Grury

The house is large with spacious bedrooms and good mattresses. It stays wonderfully cool especially with the shutters closed. (At least up to 27 degrees.) The kitchen is well equipped with everything for cooking and baking, such as a delicious plum cake with plums from our own garden. Also nice that there are sharp knives and plenty of cutlery. There is a washer and dryer for when it rains all day. The bathroom even has a bathtub. Outside a sitting area under the tree for hot days. One more seat in the large garden would complete it for us. In short, a wonderful place to recharge and enjoy La douche France.

Het huis is groot met ruime slaapkamers en goede matrassen. Het blijft zeker met de luiken dicht heerlijk koel. (In ieder geval tot 27 graden.) De keuken is goed uitgerust met alles om te koken en te bakken, zoals bijvoorbeeld een heerlijke pruimentaart met pruimen uit eigen tuin. Ook fijn dat er scherpe messen zijn en voldoende bestek. Er is een wasmachine en droger voor als het de hele dag regent. De badkamer heeft zelfs een bad. Buiten een zitje onder de boom voor de warme dagen. Nog een extra zitje in de grote tuin zou het voor ons helemaal afmaken. Kortom een heerlijk plek om weer op te laden en te genieten van La douche France.

The space and silence looking out over the rolling countryside. Black bees, butterflies, bumblebees, honey bees, and much more beauty. Occasionally the cows come to sniff and a bird of prey flies over regularly. A diversity I do not know in the Netherlands.

De ruimte en stilte uitkijkend over het glooiende landschap. Zwarte bijen, vlinders, hommels, honing bijen, en nog veel meer moois. Af en toe komen de koeien even neuzen en vliegt er geregeld een roofvogel over. Een diversiteit die ik in Nederland niet ken.

The house is well taken care of. Everything is there.

Het huis is prima verzorgd. Alles is aanwezig.

We enjoyed the space in and around the house in Grury. And what peace and quiet! In the morning you can pick up your ordered bread at the local cafe/village house and have a cup of coffee with the villagers. Across the street is a small supermarket with excellent produce. Cozy Luzy is within reasonable distance as is Bourbon-Lancy with its beautiful old town center where we had our closing lunch at restaurant La Grignotte du Vieux-Bourbon. Highly recommended! The massif d'Uchon, with its beautiful granite rock landscape, we found breathtaking. There is a cozy restaurant nearby. We also took a walk around Autun.

We hebben genoten van de ruimte in en om het huis in Grury. En wat een rust! 's Ochtends kun je je bestelde brood in het plaatselijke café/dorpshuis ophalen en een kopje koffie drinken met de dorpsbewoners. Aan de overkant is een kleine supermarkt met uitstekende producten. Het gezellige Luzy ligt op redelijke afstand evenals Bourbon-Lancy met haar prachtige oude stadskern waar wij onze afsluitende lunch hadden in restaurant La Grignotte du Vieux-Bourbon. Een aanrader! Het massif d'Uchon, met zijn prachtige granieten rotslandschap, vonden wij adembenemend. Er ligt een gezellig restaurant vlakbij. Ook hebben we een rondwandeling door Autun gemaakt.

The house in Grury is situated in the quietest place ever ; you cannot imagine that anywhere in Europe there can be such silence ! At the same time it is not far from small villages; Issy l'Evêque for example with a small village cafe, a store and a good bakery. Larger towns with weekly markets are also easily accessible and all the Roman heritage around Autun is also very worthwhile ! But if you want peace and nature you do not really need to take the car, walking, a beautiful view, all nearby The house is tastefully decorated with every comfort and on a rare rainy evening it is nice to stay in the lounge with a view. There is a large garden around with always a sun or shade and a lovely table under the apple tree to eat or have an aperitif or just read a book In short: a must.

Het huis(je ) in Grury ligt op de stilste plaats ooit ; je kan je niet voorstellen dat er ergens in Europa zo'n stilte kan zijn ! Tegelijk ligt het niet ver van kleine dorpjes; Issy l'Evêque bijvoorbeeld met een klein dorpscafeetje, een winkeltje en een goeie bakker . Grotere stadjes met wekelijkse markten zijn ook zeer goed bereikbaar en alle Romeins erfgoed rond Autun is ook zeer de moeite ! Maar als je rust en natuur wil hoef je eigenlijk de auto niet te nemen , wandelen , een prachtig vergezicht ; allemaal vlakbij
Het huis is met veel smaak en alle comfort ingericht en op een zeldzame regenachtige avond is het fijn toeven in het salonnetje met uitzicht . Er is een grote tuin rondom met altijd wel een zon -of schaduwplekje en een heerlijk tafeltje onder de appelboom om te eten of te aperitieven of gewoon een boek te lezen
