The living room upstairs quickly became the "base" for the kids, while the adults preferred to sit downstairs at the kitchen table. Canoe and kayak there were super, but you can also easily rent a sloop nearby if you want to make some more meters.The center of the village of Terherne is about a 10 minute walk. There is a small neighborhood supermarket there, but don't expect much. One point to keep in mind is that the cottage has 1 toilet and it is in the bathroom. With 9 people, this is sometimes inconvenient. There is also an outdoor shower.
