What was once a large domaine near Coubjours, set amidst the countryside, has now become our own hideaway.The heated* fenced swimming pool of 4m. x 10m. has wide/large steps so that even the little ones can play in the water (under supervision). All rooms have fans + mosquito nets, so you can sleep peacefully and listen to the owls as you slowly fall asleep. On the ground floor is a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. On the 1st floor are 2x2 family rooms. (see floor plan). There is 1 large double bed and 3 smaller doubters (140x190) and a toddler bed. Also on the 1st floor is a bathroom equipped with a bathtub. The open kitchen does not lack equipment. After all, we live here ourselves and do not want to miss out. From coffee maker (with beans), dishwasher to toaster. Now with 11Kw EV charging point (for a fee).
Nature and surroundings
Our cottage in the Dordogne is dominantly situated in a serene setting on top of a hill with unobstructed views all around. It offers uninterrupted views of the natural beauty of the surroundings. Here, away from other houses, you imagine yourself in your own little world, surrounded by the singing of birds and the rustling of the wind.This little paradise is a place where you can recharge, enjoying nature, silence and the simplicity of life.The house is located in the Dordogne near the border with the Corrèze, thus offering the best of both departments at the same time. There is something to do every day in the area, where lounging by the heated* pool can also be considered an activity. Enjoy the pool with friends or family or explore the picturesque and hilly surroundings, rich with streams, meadows and forests. The access road, a quiet, fairly flat and dead-end lane, is shared only with the local farmer for livestock and appears to be our own private driveway.

Nature, peace & environment:How much we enjoyed this vacation in the beautiful cottage! There were 9 of us, including 4 children under 3, and it was really ideal. The cottage itself is beautiful and has all kinds of nice corners to explore. With the warm weather, we enjoyed swimming in the pool, and for the little ones, there was a cozy little playground that was decorated with care. Both day and evening, we could sit on the terrace through the many umbrellas and enjoy a wine or a beer. Both the children and ourselves had a top vacation. Absolutely worth repeating!
Wat hebben wij genoten van deze vakantie in het prachtige huisje! We waren met 9 personen, waaronder 4 kinderen jonger dan 3 jaar, en het was werkelijk ideaal. Het huisje zelf is schitterend en heeft allerlei leuke hoekjes om te ontdekken. Met het warme weer hebben we heerlijk gezwommen in het zwembad, en voor de kleintjes was er een knus speeltuintje dat met zorg was ingericht. Zowel overdag als s avonds, konden we heerlijk op het terras zitten door de vele parasols en genieten van een wijntje of een biertje. Zowel de kinderen als wijzelf hebben een topvakantie gehad. Absoluut voor herhaling vatbaar!

Het huis binnen is sfeervol ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het enige nadeel dat ik bedenken kan is dat het wat gehorig is, dus lopen op de bovenverdieping hoor je duidelijk beneden. Maar dat is slechts een detail, want je wilt hier nooit meer weg. Dank dat we hiervan mochten genieten, en ook voor het fijne contact. We zien nu al uit naar een volgende keer :)
