This nature house, located in southeast Friesland near the historic village of Oldeberkoop, offers peace, space and nature. The house is surrounded by a forest. The house has all conveniences. A living room, open kitchen, three bedrooms and a bathroom. The first floor, where there is also a double bedroom, is ground floor. You can take extensive walks in the adjacent forest or in one of the nature parks, such as the Drents-Friese Wold or the Alde Faenen. Lovely cycling starts from the adjacent cycle path along the river Linde and visit beautiful places such as Beetsterzwaag, Veenhuizen, Appelscha, Frederiksoord and Wilhelminaoord. Cities such as Leeuwarden, Groningen and Assen are about 45 minutes away. And Giethoorn, also called the Venice of Holland, is a 30-minute drive away. In the cottage on the property live artist Jos and his wife Loes. You can run into them.
Nature and surroundings
The area where the house is located is known for its coulisse landscape: meadows and woods alternate. The view from the nature house is like watching a play, where deer play the leading role. The house is located in the Frisian Woods. In the immediate vicinity of Oldeberkoop are a number of nature reserves, including Delleboersterheide, Diaconieveen and Stuttenbosch. Nearby you will find the Lende Valley, the Schaopedobbe and the Ketliker Skar. Also the Fochteloërveen and national nature parks Alde Feanen, Drents-Friese Wold, Dwingelderveld and Weerribben are not far. The house is surrounded by a large garden with a nice terrace with phenomenal views over the countryside.
