In the middle of a beautiful natural environment with peace and space stands 't Olde Veurhuus, the front house of our farmhouse. In 2019 renovated by our own hands to current standards, equipped with all comforts and conveniences, but retaining the authentic elements such as the old binding and the bed box (doubter). Layout downstairs: Hall (with private entrance), toilet, bathroom, luxury kitchen, dining / living room, closet / storage, bed box. There is a wood stove that can be used in consultation. Layout upstairs: Landing, small bedroom 1 pers.bed, large bedroom 2 pers.bed and washbasin, toilet, closet / storage. Through the room you walk through the sliding doors to the terrace, equipped with table and chairs, 2 sunbeds and a fire basket. If the wind is good, a fire may be made, wood is provided. At the start we welcome you, with a tour if desired and there is (always) room for questions and answers. Greetings from the most beautiful part of Friesland.
Nature and surroundings
A truly perfect location for nature lovers, cyclists and hikers. Amidst large nature reserves such as De Eese, De Weerribben and De Lindevallei there is something for everyone. From the room and terrace you have an immediate view of the meadows and forests, which are freely accessible with its many hiking trails. There is a good chance that diverse wildlife will pass by such as hares, deer and foxes. In addition, this area is visited by many species of birds including the stork. On a clear day, enjoy the stars in a dark sky with in the background the call of a barn owl hunting the many bats. In short, an experience that we experience every day and like to share with you!
