An old log cabin transformed into a unique stay in nature on a site unique of 4 ha located in an isolated valley on the border of Aveyron and Tarn et Garonne with all the necessary amenities to make the stay pleasant. A spacious veranda (covered) and an attached terrace make outdoor living relaxed. Not connected to water or electricity. Water comes from the rain collected in a recevoir about 30 meters above the log cabin and electricity comes from solar panels. There is limited 230V but enough for laptop, smartphone and lighting. Refrigerator runs on gas. The log cabin can be reached by car to bring luggage. Parking is available about 75m away. A tarp stretched over the roof keeps the temperature in summer within limits. There is no air conditioning but the stream is always cold enough to cool off.The cottage is a little higher on the property against the slope, the lower area is rented separately with tent, tipi and caravan.
Nature and surroundings
The log cabin stands on its own grounds of 4ha with its own stream over a length of about 300m in a small valley on the border of Aveyron and Tarn et Garonne. On the rather uncultivated terrain there is a ruin of old watermill a tipi of 6m diameter and wooden platform of 9 x 11m for all kinds of workshops and a caravan with kitchen and shower and toilet. Down by the stream there is also a shower and dry toilet. You imagine yourself in this lush field with a multitude of flowers, plants and butterflies in a different, fairy-like environment isolated from the rest of the world. In one place along the creek there is a floor where you can bathe even after months of drought in summer, the creek continues to babble. When you leave the site via a dirt road you come into the middle southern French countryside with many nice little villages and towns like Najac, Corde sur Ciel, St Antonin, Bruniquell etc. Like south Limburg but much larger with endless stream valleys and hiking, kayaking, etcetera.
