This charming village house with its atypical vaulted stone rooms is composed as follows: * A master suite, separated from the living area by a small private passageway, which will keep you cool throughout your stay. (Plan) * A fully-equipped kitchen with a bathroom balcony for outdoor showers. * An upstairs living room with a beautiful view over the valley, where a third person can occupy a single bed. * A private terrace, partly covered by vines, for outdoor meals. * To help you find your way around, an architect's plan can be found in the photo album * Household linen is provided: sheets, towels, tea towels * Please note: this property is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or young children.
Nature and surroundings
Welcome to Fanghetto, a picturesque 13th-century village perched on a rock in the heart of the Roya Valley on the French-Italian border, with stone houses and narrow, pedestrian-friendly streets. The village was built by monks among olive trees, and is just a few minutes' walk from the Roya river. We've put together a guide to the best bathing spots around the house. Some spots can be reached by taking a stroll through the terraced olive groves. At the end of the path, you'll find magnificent natural pools, still untouched, or sandy beaches on the banks of the Roya. Just a few minutes' walk from the house, along the main road, you'll discover our local grocery store/bar. Marisa opens her Alibaba cave to you in a typically Italian atmosphere. Free parking at the bottom of the village.
