Nature house in Geesteren

Our spacious lodge is situated in an old farm barn and can accommodate 2 people. The barn is located in the yard of (residential) farm De Bisser. After two years of renovation, our lodge was completed in the spring of 2024. Authentic elements such as trusses and stable windows have been preserved. The lodge consists of two floors (approx. 2x60 m2). Downstairs is the kitchen with dining and sitting area. Adjacent is a separate toilet room and a separate shower room with sink. Upstairs there is one spacious bedroom with a comfortable double bed. It is also possible to set up your own tent in the fruit orchard. Bed linen and towels are provided The kitchen is fully equipped: a stove, combi-oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker and kettle. Of course, the lodge is equipped with free WiFi, a smart TV and stereo set. The lodge is fully insulated and gas-free. In our yard is a charging facility for electric cars (for a fee).

The Achterhoek is known as an ideal environment for hiking, cycling and recreation. Our lodge is the ideal base for getting out and about. Our lodge is located in the outskirts of Geesteren (GLD). Geesteren was named the most beautiful village of Gelderland in 2017. On the unique wooden shoe path, the Boereneschpad, you will wander along unpaved, cultural-historical paths, farmland and dirt roads. You will really experience the tranquility and space of the countryside - experience the outdoors! You have access to a private lawn with picnic table. Enjoy the panoramic view from your hammock. In the summer you can enjoy our field edge with summer flowers, bees and butterflies. Sometimes cows from the neighboring dairy farm graze in front of you in the herb-rich grassland. Real nature lovers will appreciate a walk to and through the Natura2000 area, Stelkampsveld. This nature reserve is part of the Beekvliet estate, one km away from the lodge.
