Hidden in an unspoilt corner of France, this nature house offers the perfect setting for you and your loved ones to unwind and recharge your batteries. With spectacular views of the Pyrenees and their foothills and surrounded by nature, farm animals and wildlife. Escape to Bentefarine. Our two bedroom barn conversion provides the ultimate escape-from-it-all: breathtaking views, a beautiful wild garden with the use of a swimming pool, a feeling of being in the middle of nowhere but with the convenience of the lovely town of Mirepoix and the city of Carcassonne within easy reach. The master bedroom has a large double bed 175x200.
Nature and surroundings
With the pool 25m away & Lac Montbel just 6km from the barn you won't need to go far to cool down. In Summer the lake plays host to a ream of activities from horse riding and tree-top adventure climbing to stand-up-paddle, kayaking & sailing. There are even pedalos for hire. Alternatively you can go wild swimming in the many local rivers and mountain lakes.It's a great way to escape the heat. The bastide town of Mirepoix is a lovely place to hang out and have a coffee and croissant or a 'pression' in the evening while the kids play with their scooters or play football in the shade of the 'Halle', the old covered market area. There are plenty of restaurants too. During the Summer there is a festival almost every weekend where the central square comes alive with stands and displays. Monday is market day so you can stock up on locally-grown produce. The Pyrenees can be seen from every room in the barn, and there are countless walks, hikes and bike rides for all levels.
