This luxury B&B is a place where there is peace, where there is space, and the views are beautiful. Moreover, you get your time. You are welcome from 10:00 am and may stay until 4:00 pm on the day of departure. Hermanje is a wonderful base for people who come to enjoy the beautiful Achterhoek. ...Lazing in the orchard (bring your own hammock), cycling (possibly to borrow) and / or walking. You cycle or walk from our yard into nature. You can't cook in my B&B (it is a B&B), but there is a boiling water tap, there is a coffee machine, a small fridge and you can heat something up in the microwave. Within biking distance there are several restaurants that provide good and affordable meals. Feel free to ask for tips. Prefer to eat "at home"? In consultation I serve a 2-course menu in the room (19 euros pp). In principle, I also serve breakfast in the room. Depending on the situation of the moment, breakfast can - if desired - be served in our living kitchen.
Nature and surroundings
My B&B is located in the outskirts of Lievelde in the Acherhoek. Cars passing in front of our farmhouse have to be with us, or with our neighbors. The main road to Groenlo is only accessible for (moped) cyclists and walkers. You can enjoy walking here (the nature reserve "Koolmansdijk" is literally around the corner). Traditionally there are church councils, narrow paths between the meadows, along which the inhabitants walked from the large outlying area to the daily mass.Over these church councils are several walking routes plotted. From the B&B you can walk entirely unpaved to Zieuwent and beyond, or back again. Feast your eyes on the wild orchids in bloom, listen in the evening to the (stone) owls, or -with a little luck- watch the deer in the evening and/or morning twilight. If you are lucky, my neighbor's sheep and lambs are grazing in the we behind the orchard, you can watch them from the comfort of your armchair.
