The cottage deserves more, but the maintenance brings down the grade

Het huisje verdient meer, maar het onderhoud haalt het cijfer naar beneden

It is a pleasant cottage, almost at the top vd mountain, virtually no traffic. Nice large balcony, nice view of the backyard and the forest. You walk straight into the forest, or through the main path to hiking and biking trails. The decor is a bit messy, but that also makes it cozy. One downside was that the cottage turned out to be far from clean, the cleaning lady had not been, that can happen, but the bedroom and sitting area were very dusty. Apologies from the owner for this, but the dirty laundry from the previous tenants from the bedroom and bathroom remained all week. We had put it outside under the shelter ourselves, not terrible, but a shame. Also no more contact after the first reports of this.

Het is een prettig huisje, bijna aan de top vd berg, vrijwel geen verkeer. Fijn groot balkon, fijn zicht op de achtertuin en het bos. Je loopt zo het bos in, of via het hoofdpad naar wandel en fietsroutes. De inrichting is een beetje rommelig, maar dat maakt het ook gezellig. Een minpunt was dat het huisje verre van schoon bleek, de schoonmaakster was niet geweest, dat kan gebeuren, maar de slaapkamer en zithoek waren zeer stoffig. Excuses van de eigenaresse hiervoor, maar de vuile was van de vorige huurders uit de slaapkamer en badkamer is de hele week blijven liggen. We hadden die zelf maar buiten onder het afdak gelegd, niet vreselijk, maar wel jammer. Ook geen contact meer gehad na de eerste meldingen hier van.

We had an absolutely magical stay. The chalet's location is an absolute dream for nature lovers. Every window looks out onto the green, and it's magnificent. The wood fire is a real asset. There's just about everything you need if you're not too demanding, and you'll feel right at home in this dwelling. The energy pyramid is invaluable. You don't find that on every street corner. I will return with great pleasure. Our dogs were delighted, as were we. The owner is very friendly and quick to respond to any questions. I hope to be able to return one day. A parasol would indeed be welcome. But if you know what it is, you can take it with you, just like other things. I don't mind at all.

Nous avons passé un séjour absolument féerique. La situation du chalet est absolument un rêve pour qui est amoureux de la nature. Chaque fenêtre donne sur le vert et cela est magnifique. Le feu de bois est un atout non négligeable. Il y a à peu près tout ce qu il faut si on est pas trop exigeant et on se sent bien dans cette habitation. La pyramide énergétique est une valeur inestimable. On ne trouve pas cela a tous les coins de rue. J y retournerai avec grand plaisir. Nos chiens étaient aux anges tout comme nous. La propriétaire est très sympathique et réagit très vite aux questions éventuelles. J espère pouvoir un jour y retourner. Et effectivement un parasol serait le bienvenu. Mais quand on le sait, on peut le prendre avec soi tout comme d autres choses. Ça ne me dérange absolument pas.
