Nature and surroundings
The place is very remote not to say "At the end of the world". It is perfect for people who love nature, quiet, solitude and peace. It is the unspoiled countryside, so most of the people who live here are farmers or vacationers, and although it is remote, it is in the center of many famous places to visit. - The Killary Fjord and Leenane, the only fjord in Ireland, 20 km - Clifden, the capital of Connemara, 55 km - Kylemore Abbey, 40 km - The cozy, lively town of Westport, 35 km - The famous village of Cong, known for its Ashford Castle and for the movie "The Quiet Man." 20 km What might be a plus these days is that there is NO internet access or phone coverage in the cottage So you can really detox from everyday life here It might also be good to know that there is no flush toilet in the master bedroom ensuite. It is a camper toilet that you can empty into the main toilet in the other bathroom.
