We would like to welcome you to our rustic French vacation home. The detached farmhouse is over 200 years old, has a large detached garden of 11,000 m2. There are both places to sunbathe (e.g. on the terrace by the pool). But there are also many shady spots (e.g. under the walnut trees). The house is comfortably furnished with a large living room with wood stove and a spacious kitchen/dining room. There are two bedrooms each with its own shower, sink and toilet. The large garden has two terraces and a small pool for a refreshing dip.
Nature and surroundings
The house is in a wooded area with surprising views of hills and villages and towns. Our house is centrally located to most attractions, which this part of the Périgord Vert has to offer: castles, rivers, caves, museums. In the second half of January we spent a few days in the Dordogne. Even around that time you can already feel that spring is coming. The sun is more powerful, rises earlier and sets later. Looking out the window one morning, we saw three deer, grazing peacefully in the backyard. A nice surprise in the French countryside, spring starts early in the Dordogne. Around mid-February you are often already sitting in the sun on the terrace. And in the course of March you can already see and (especially) hear the first summer visitors: the cuckoo (?...) and the oriole are regular nesters in our garden. And with a little luck you can see a hoopoe, the most beautiful bird of the Dordogne.
