A place where pouring rain is appreciated, doing nothing turns out to be easier and grinding your own coffee gives a sense of luxury. Designed by JCR architects, this nature house is an architecturally sophisticated recreational home on the Veluwe. Everything is provided for a wonderful stay. Those who descend the stairs through a steel access hatch immediately see the essence of the residence - the panoramic windows. Experience the security of robust materials, soft colors in the midst of nature. Discover countless small critters walking next to the windowsill and see with your own eyes how everything around you awakens, grows and blossoms. The folly can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children up to 12 years old. The sleeping areas are bedsteads and have no doors but can be closed with a curtain.
Nature and surroundings
This unique cottage can be found at Buitenplaats Koningsweg, next to the entrance to the Hoge Veluwe National Park. A world-class museum - the Kröller-Müller Museum - is located here, and the Veluwe is the largest contiguous nature reserve in Western Europe. The area has moors, sandy plains, rivers and forests and is the habitat of wild boar, red deer and foxes, among others. The cottage is suitable for anyone who wants to enjoy the vast forests, fascinating history and extensive cycling and walking routes. Buitenplaats Koningsweg is a surprising "village" founded in World War II as two camouflaged barracks grounds around airport Fliegerhorst Deelen. The occupiers disguised the military buildings as farming villages to avoid detection from the air. The cottage was therefore designed in this theme, a shelter buried and hidden in the greenery.
