Nature house in Mariënberg

The cottage makes you feel right at home. Really a cottage. It was autumn so sitting outside was not an option but the large windows and all the colored leaves made it very relaxing to sit on the couch and enjoy the squirrels eating the peanuts we brought. It is very fully equipped, we didn't miss anything. The kitchen is nice and spacious. 1 point of criticism, you have to bring your own bedding and the bed has a large mattress and a 2 person comforter. I myself do not have that so it was improvising. Maybe offer the possibility of renting bed linen.

Het huisje geeft je gelijk het gevoel van thuis. Echt een vakantiehuisje. Het was herfst dus buiten zitten zat er niet in maar door de grote ramen en al het gekleurde blad was het zeer ontspannen zitten op de bank en genieten van de eekhoorns die de meegebrachte pinda's zaten te eten. Het is zeer compleet ingericht, we hebben niks gemist. De keuken is lekker ruim.

1 puntje van kritiek, je moet zelf je beddengoed meenemen en het bed heeft een groot matras en een 2 persoons dekbed. Zelf heb ik dat niet dus was improviseren. Misschien toch de mogelijkheid bieden om beddengoed erbij te huren.

The cottage is located in a small forest on the edge of the village but you really have the experience of a forest. You walk in 5 minutes to the store and in 6 minutes to the station from where I have walked 2 stages of the pieterpad. Coevorden-Hardenberg and Hardenberg- Ommen. Ideal!

Het huisje ligt in een klein bosje aan de rand van het dorp maar je hebt wel echt de beleving van een bos.
Je loopt in 5 minuten naar de winkel en in 6 minuten naar het station vanwaar ik heb 2 etappes van het pieterpad heb gelopen. Coevorden-Hardenberg en Hardenberg- Ommen. Ideaal!

Heel fijn huisje, bedankt dat we er mochten verblijven.

Lovely cottage, beautifully and cozily decorated. Especially the kitchen is very stylish. You should not be afraid to share a cottage with many spiders, but fortunately there is a good vacuum cleaner that makes short work of them! The bikes in the barn were also top, nice area to explore.

Heerlijk huisje, mooi en gezellig ingericht. Vooral de keuken is heel stijlvol. Wel moet je niet bang zijn om een huisje te delen met veel spinnetjes, maar gelukkig is er een goede stofzuiger aanwezig die daar korte metten mee maakt! De fietsen in de schuur waren ook top, mooie omgeving om te ontdekken.

A very cozy cottage with beautiful green views, a very nice place to unwind. The kitchen is more spacious and extensive than you can see in the pictures: you can cook very well and there are some things present such as oil, spices and coffee (no tea). A small downside is that bedding and towels are not provided, it's not a cheap cottage after all but unfortunately you have to lug these basic things from home which is not very convenient especially with public transport (and I expect many people come to this location by train). But it is forgivable because it is otherwise such a super nice cottage. And then again, what we didn't have to do was bring so many groceries: a two-minute walk away is a supermarket that just has everything you need (closed in the evenings and on Sundays). All in all, we had a wonderful weekend and we'd love to come back!

Een heel gezellig huisje met prachtig groen uitzicht, een heel fijne plek om even tot rust te komen. De keuken is ruimer en uitgebreider dan je op de foto's kunt zien: je kan er prima koken en er zijn wat dingen aanwezig zoals olie, kruiden en koffie (geen thee). Een klein minpuntje is dat beddengoed en handdoeken niet aanwezig zijn, het is toch geen goedkoop huisje maar deze basiszaken moet je helaas van huis meezeulen wat vooral met het OV (en ik verwacht dat veel mensen op deze locatie met de trein komen) niet zo heel handig is. Maar het is te vergeven omdat het verder zo'n superfijn huisje is. En wat we dan weer niet hadden hoeven doen was zoveel boodschappen meenemen: op twee minuten lopen is een supermarkt die gewoon alles heeft wat je nodig hebt ('s avonds en op zondag gesloten).
Al met al een heerlijk weekend gehad en we komen graag terug!

The cottage is located in a small cottage park (about 12 cottages) in a quiet part of the forest right next to the village. You don't notice much of the other cottages, there is plenty of privacy. You can sit in the garden with a cup of coffee or your breakfast and enjoy the singing birds. The location is ideal: a five-minute walk from the train station, with beautiful hiking and biking opportunities nearby.

Het huisje bevindt zich in een klein vakantiehuisjes-parkje (een stuk of 12 huisjes) in een rustig stukje bos direct naast het dorp. Van de andere huisjes merk je weinig, er is genoeg privacy. Je kunt heerlijk zitten in de tuin met een kopje koffie of je ontbijt en genieten van de zingende vogels. De ligging is ideaal: vijf minuten lopen vanaf het treinstation, met mooie wandel- en fietsmogelijkheden vlakbij.
