Nature house in Fraize

Jean’s beautiful home is, in a word, fantastic.

After we booked, Jean sent us a link full of information about hikes, waterfalls, picnic spots, toboggan runs, and all kinds of other activities to do in the area.

The house is bright and spacious: with the use of the luxurious sofa bed, it can accommodate 8 people. The kitchen is fully equipped. Upon arrival, we found fresh flowers waiting for us. There are several seating areas. Everything is very clean.

Upon arrival, Jean gave us a thorough tour and explained how to use the appliances, etc. He also checked in regularly during our stay to make sure everything was to our liking.

There’s plenty for the kids to do: there are games, and in the basement (lovely and cool!) there’s a ping-pong table and a dartboard.

Thanks to the large windows at the front, there’s also a great view of the surroundings from inside. All windows are equipped with roller shades to keep out the heat on sunny days.

Na onze boeking stuurde Jean een link boordevol informatie over wandelingen, watervallen, picknickplaatsen, rodelbanen en allerlei andere activiteiten die in de omgeving te doen zijn.

Het huis is licht en ruim: met gebruik van de luxe bedbank geschikt voor 8 personen. In de keuken is alles voorhanden. In huis stonden bij aankomst verse bloemen. Er zijn meerdere zithoeken. Alles is erg schoon.

Bij aankomst gaf Jean een uitgebreide rondleiding en uitleg van de apparaten etc. Ook tijdens ons verblijf informeerde hij regelmatig of alles naar wens was.

Voor de kinderen is er genoeg te doen: er zijn spelletjes en in de kelder (heerlijk koel!) is een tafeltennistafel en een dartbord.

Door de grote ramen aan de voorkant is er ook vanuit binnen een geweldig uitzicht over de omgeving. Alle ramen zijn voorzien van rolluiken tegen de warmte met zonnig weer.

The chalet is located at the end of a road that winds its way up from the village. Amid the pastures dotted with cows, interspersed with a small forest you drive through, you continue climbing until you reach the house at the edge of the woods. From the house, you can walk right out onto the deck, which offers a stunning view of the valley.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the outdoor table in the morning, explore the surroundings during the day, and cook outdoors in the evening at the outdoor kitchen, complete with a BBQ, griddle, and pizza oven. Afterward, relax on the hardwood lounge chairs or in one of the other seating areas in the large, wooded garden.

There are many birds around the house, squirrels chase each other through the trees, and in the field next to the road, deer roam in the evenings.

From the chalet, you can walk straight into the woods for a lovely hike. It’s also a great spot for mountain biking. If you take the car, you can go on beautiful hikes in the immediate area, see waterfalls, or head to high vantage points.

Het chalet ligt aan het eind van een weg, die vanuit het dorp naar boven slingert. Tussen de weilanden met koeien, afgewisseld door een klein bos waar je doorheen rijdt klim je verder totdat je bij de bosrand aankomt bij het huis. Vanuit huis loop je zo de vlonder op met een prachtig uitzicht over het dal.

's Morgens lekker ontbijten aan de buitentafel, overdag de omgeving verkennen, 's avonds buiten kokkerellen bij de buitenkeuken met bbq, bakplaat en pizza-oven. En daarna heerlijk ontspannen op de hardhouten ligstoelen of een van de andere zitjes in de grote beboste tuin.

Rondom het huis zijn veel vogels, eekhoorns zitten elkaar achterna in de bomen en in het veld naast de weg lopen 's avonds reeën.

Vanaf het chalet loop je zo het bos in voor een mooie wandeling. Ook kun je er prima mountainbiken. Pak je de auto, dan kun je in de directe omgeving prachtige wandelingen maken, watervallen bekijken of naar hoge uitkijkpunten toe.

Hier kom je echt tot rust!

A spacious, clean house with comfortable beds and two bathrooms. The kitchen is practically laid out, and there’s a fireplace. The view is magnificent. There’s a ping-pong table in the basement and a Nintendo Wii, along with games and a couch where you can relax and read while enjoying the view. There’s also an additional seating area upstairs. Jean will welcome you with a very thorough tour. Everything is just perfect!

Een ruim, schoon huis met goede bedden en twee badkamers. De keuken is praktisch ingericht en er is een open haard. Het uitzicht is magnifiek. Er is een pingpongtafel in de kelder en een nintendo Wii, er zijn spelletjes en een bank waar je lekker kan lezen terwijl je van het uitzicht geniet. Er is nog een extra zitje boven. Jean ontvangt je met een zeer uitgebreide rondleiding. Alles is perfect in orde!

Jean’s beautiful home is nestled right on the edge of the forest, with a huge garden featuring various seating areas scattered throughout. There’s a large outdoor kitchen with a plancha, pizza oven, and barbecue, and a fantastic fire pit where you can safely build a fire—even with the threat of forest fires.
The view is breathtaking and expansive; you hear nothing but birds singing, a woodpecker, and perhaps a dog or a cow. Head here if you’re looking for a wonderful nature experience! You can walk straight from the house into the woods for long hikes. And Jean has a whole Linktree full of valuable and well-described tips for the surrounding area.

Grenzend aan de bosrand ligt het prachtige huis van Jean, met een enorme tuin waar overal verschillende plekken zijn gecreëerd om te zitten. Een grote buitenkeuken met plancha, pizza en barbecue en een fantastische vuurplaats waar je - ook met de dreiging van bosbranden - veilig vuur kan maken.
Het uitzicht is adembenemend en wijds, je hoort niets dan fluitende vogels, een specht, misschien een hond of een koe. Ga hierheen als je een schitterende natuurervaring wilt! Je loopt zo vanaf het huis het bos in voor uitgebreide wandelingen. En Jean heeft een hele Linktree vol waardevolle en goed beschreven tips in de omgeving.

Very warm welcome by owner Jean, excellent communication beforehand and during stay. Superb house equipped with everything you can think of. Everything very clean and in very good condition too. We are already looking forward to our next vacation here!

Erg warme verwelkoming door eigenaar Jean, prima communicatie vooraf en tijdens het verblijf. Schitterend huis voorzien van alles wat je maar kan bedenken. Alles heel proper en in erg goede staat ook. We kijken al uit naar een volgende vakantie hier!

Beautiful views, surrounded by the sound of singing birds and a few squirrels. Fantastic place to totally unwind.

Prachtige uitzichten, omgeven door het geluid van zingende vogels en een paar eekhoorns. Fantastische plek om helemaal tot rust te komen.
