Nature house in Montgon

The owners of the nature house “Joli Sauvage,” Timo and Nanja, are incredibly kind and helpful, and they’re huge animal lovers.
The house may not be big, but everything worked and was well maintained.

If you want to slow down and unwind, this is the place for you.
You can really enjoy the silence and nature here, and the beautiful starry sky, because it still gets truly dark here.
The cottage looked neat
and was very clean.

Wie wil onthaasten en tot rust wil komen is hier op de juiste plek
Je kunt er heerlijk genieten van de stilte en de natuur,,maar ook van de mooie sterrenhemel,want het is hier nog echt donker
Het huisje zag er keurig uit
En was zeer schoon

For us, it gets the highest score: very comfortable, cozily furnished, clean, and they’ve really thought of everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
A warm and welcoming reception from the owners. Thanks to the cottage’s location and the large garden, there’s plenty of privacy to do your own thing, and it’s also really nice to interact with the owners if you’d like to. Top-notch!
And of course the animals—the ducks in the owners’ garden are so charming, along with the cats, the dog, and the birds…
And then there’s the peace and quiet… Pure enjoyment with a capital (and soft) G!

Voor ons de hoogste score: heel comfortabel, knus ingericht, schoon en echt aan alles is gedacht om het verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken.
Een gastvrij en warm onthaal door de eigenaren. Door de ligging van de gite en de grote tuin veel privacy om lekker je eigen ding te doen en ook super gezellig om met de eigenaren contact te hebben als je dat zou willen. Top!
En natuurlijk de dieren, zo gezellig de loopeendjes in de tuin van de eigenaren en de poezen, hond, vogeltjes...
En dan de rust en stilte..Genieten met een grote (en zachte) G!

If you love peace, space, and nature, book this cottage in the French Ardennes. The French countryside features rolling hills, quaint villages, and charming towns in the surrounding area. During early morning walks, I spotted many animals, such as roe deer, birds of prey, and even a fox.

Als je houdt van rust, ruimte en natuur dan boek je dit huisje in de Franse Ardennen. Het Franse boerenland met heuvels, dorpjes en leuke steden in de omgeving. In de vroege ochtendwandelingen veel dieren gespot zoals reeën, roofvogels en zelfs een vos.

Because of the heat, we were often forced to find another spot. Fortunately, there was the pond with the little grove where we sought relief from the heat.
We did miss having a village café, various dining options, and places to meet people from the village or tourists. But this cottage is definitely highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind.

Door de hitte waren we dikwijls genoodzaakt om een andere plek te zoeken. Gelukkig was er de vijver met het bosje waar we verkoeling zochten.
Wel misten we een dorpscafé, verschillende eetgelegenheden, ontmoetingsplekken met mensen uit het dorp of toeristen. Maar dit huisje is zeker een aanrader voor wie tot rust wil komen.

The nature house truly lives up to its name—it’s wonderful to unwind in such a lovely spot. It was very hot when we were there, but it stayed reasonably cool inside the house. The various resting spots each offer a different view of the garden and nature. And we got to see quite a few little animals.

Het natuurhuisje is z’n naam waardig, het is heerlijk om op zo’n heerlijke plek tot rust te komen. Het was erg warm toen we er waren, maar in het huisje bleef het redelijk koel. De verschillende rustplekjes geven je telkens een andere blik op de tuin en de natuur. En we hebben heel wat diertjes kunnen aanschouwen.
